The Multi-Team Builder — Coverage Without Clones

A set of teams should disagree like analysts, not duplicate like photocopies. The structure, slot by slot.

The structure

Core + Rotation, by the Numbers

LayerSlotsRule
The core7–8Identical across every team: confirmed roles only — openers who open, bowlers with guaranteed overs.
Swing slots2–3Where teams disagree: venue specialists, form gambles, the second keeper on spin decks.
C/VC bands2 per teamThe real differentiator. Rotate bands across the set; in megas, low-ownership bands are the whole point.

Set sizes

How Many Teams per Room Type

  1. H2H — one team

Stability wins the lane. A set adds fees, not equity.

  2. Small league — 3 to 5

Same core, two band combos, one or two swing-slot splits. Covers the realistic outcomes.

  3. Mega — 10 to 20

Only with bankroll to spare. Bands and swing slots spread wide; the core still never changes.

  4. Any room — stop at the toss

The set is finished when the window closes. Lock-minute additions are tilt wearing a plan's clothes.

Questions

Builder FAQ

How many teams should a beginner run?
One. Seriously — multi-entry only helps once your single-team reads cash H2H rooms consistently. Then scale to 3–5 in small leagues before touching mega sets.
What's a 'core' exactly?
The 7–8 picks every team in your set shares: confirmed top-order bats, the lead all-rounder, the death bowler. Differentials rotate around that spine.
Do I need different C/VC on every team?
In megas, yes — the band IS the differential. In small leagues, two or three band combinations across five teams is plenty.
